Water Sports on France’s Atlantic Coast

There is a great opportunity for sailing, surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, paddle boarding and diving. Not to mention flyboarding! The ocean waves and breezes, in particular, give the country’s western seaboard waves and a swell that you simply don’t find down in the Mediterranean.

And don’t worry if you’re a novice at water sports or don’t have the equipment – there are lots of clubs you can join while you are on holiday. Even if you’re inland there are lots of watersports to enjoy, too. There are many rivers and lakes where canoeing, sailing and jet-skiing are very popular.
