A 13ha site makes up the old quarries in Crazannes. A fascinating historic site where stone has been extracted for 2000 years. It was used for the construction or restoration of famous monuments such as Fort Boyard or Cologne Cathedral!
Today, it is a nature reserve with educational facilities, and for Easter they are arranging an Easter Egg hunt on a 600m trail (for children aged 12 and under), dye workshop and the chance to win 3 sculpted stone eggs.
Reservations are required by noon April 13th.
Kite and Wind Festival: Festival du Cerf-Volant et du Vent

Bring the kids to Châtelaillon-Plage, near La Rochelle, to marvel at the hundreds of flying objects (see video above). Plenty of entertainment is promised for the whole family from demonstrations and introductions to kite-flying, hot air balloon flights, kite-surfing, water sports to numerous activities for children including kite-making workshops.

The beautiful chateau La Roche Courbon in Charente-Maritime, organises a large Easter egg hunt on the grounds of this stunning chateaux, followed by a guided tour of the castle.

Chasse aux œufs de Pâques au Château de Brissac

At Chateau de Brissac, close to Angers, the Easter egg hunt takes place on the stunning 6ha grounds with hundred-year-old oak and chestnut trees. Fontdouce Abbey Easter Egg Hunt
Saint Bris des Bois, April 16 – 17, 2017 | 10.30 – 12.00 on the 16th; Opens at 15.30 on the 17th.
A treat for architecture history lovers. Abbaye de Fontdouce, founded in 1111, was originally built in the Romanesque style. In the early 13th century the Gothic part was added (chapter room, parlor-corridor, refectory). Between 1799 and 1818 the abbey was sold in lots to the present owners, the Boutinet family, who converted the site into a farm and a vineyard around 1820 and built their residence in the Napoleonic Empire style in line with the medieval buildings.
The Easter egg hunt takes place in the garden with extra surprises planned, followed by a fun egg painting workshop.
